Nigel Christie MCIOB: Managing Director
Nigel is originally from a Building and Civil Engineering background having worked up the ranks at Birse Construction and Spencer Civil Engineering to become a Senior Contracts Manager. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB). Having already established a small portfolio of rental properties, Nigel made the transition into the Estate and Letting industry establishing FSL Estate Agents in 2008. From humble beginnings and with a passionate approach Nigel has seen the business develop into a recognised and respected Residential and Commercial Estate and Letting Agency serving Wakefield, Barnsley and further afield. Nigel oversees the day to day running of the business ensuring that the FSL reputation remains and grows stronger. Nigel works closely with the team to ensure that everyone receives the friendly, knowledgeable, personal and professional service that has become the benchmark for FSL.
David Martindale MRICS: Sales & Marketing Director
David joined FSL in October 2009 as Sales and Marketing Director bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. David qualified as a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) in 1990 and within his 30 year career to date has undertaken all aspects of residential and commercial estate agency and property management. Other than for brief periods at Weatheralls and Abraxas Surveyors, 25 years experience has been gained from being an integral part of Vickers Orriss which grew from the early 80’s to become one of the leading residential and commercial agencies in the Wakefield area. Having been based in Wakefield throughout this time has ensured that David knows the local property market inside out. This experience has gained David the respect and recognition as one of the principal Chartered Surveyors within the Wakefield and five towns area for both Residential and Commercial property. In addition to undertaking the majority of market valuations for FSL, David’s experience allows FSL to provide valuations for lease renewals, matrimonial and boundary disputes and he is often called upon as an expert witness by Wakefield and Dewsbury County Courts.
Diane Maskill: Office Manager
Diane joined FSL in October 2011 in the position of office manager having previously worked as a lettings negotiator for Letmove (now Bridgfords Wakefield). She has an excellent knowledge and understanding of the lettings market which is further supported by her role managing a family property portfolio. Diane has a strong business background and helped form the systems and structures around which the business operates offering a friendly and personal approach to our clients dealing with both sales and lettings. Diane has formed excellent links with our landlords and property owners and has an in depth knowledge of the properties available at any time offering help and information to both prospective tenants and buyers.
